The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to promote and defend liberty, personal responsibility and free enterprise.  The organization has been around for 20 years, with the last 15 being those where it really grew.  The organization generates academic quality research.

The facility has a 175 seat theater style room where monthly open forums are held to gather information.  TPPF provides op-eds, media coverage, events, speaking, video production and on-line/social media outreach on local, state and national issues.
The primary initiative through 2019 is the Texas Prosperity Promise, which compromises 5 key areas:
1.  Taxes - Eliminating Onerous Property Taxes
2. Education - School finance reform and educational opportunities
3. Spending - Adopting a conservative Texas budget for state and local governments
4. Accountability - ending tax-funded lobbying and government collection of union dues
5. Self-governance - Prioritizing American history and civics education for all Texans

The Center for the American Future (CAF) exists to advance Tenth Amendment principles through opposition to governmental abuse and overreach in the areas of environmental, private property, and business autonomy rights.  The CAF challenges government overreach at the administrative, district and appellate court levels.  The Center represents clients whose lives and liberty are threatened by federal government action in defiance of the Constitution.

Interesting factoid that was shared by Robert in regards to the need for a civics curriculum project:
90% failure rate of high school seniors taking the naturalization exam.  Our own students know less that those folks who are becoming naturalized in the US.
