Scott Collard – Fire Chief

Scott Collard started his career as a volunteer firefighter in the San Antonio area in 1988.  Scott attended the fire academy at San Antonio College in 1990 and obtained his certification as an EMT later that year.  Scott’s first paid job was in Harker Heights, Texas in April 1991.  Moving to the Dallas Metroplex, he obtained certification as a Paramedic in 1994.  Scott utilized his dedication to the job as motivation to build upon his education and subsequently climb up the career ladder.  He has been involved in fire service management for over 12 years and has been working with North Hays County since February of 2014.  Scott holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science and numerous professional certifications and license.  He and his wife Sarah have been married over 22 years and have two children, Abigail who is 15 and Vance who is 13.
