Joe and Karen Peterson opened their beautiful home for the club on Monday, December 12th.  The shared food, beverages, and oh what fun white elephant gift exchanges.  Bonnie was the big winner with homemade banana nut bread (a little jealous here).  Joe had a wonderful outdoor fire complete with S'mores and hot apple cider around the 42 foot tree.  It is a wonderful tree and a tribute to Joe and his son's stamina to get that thing up and lit for us in time.

Thank you Joe and Karen and all 28 who joined in the merriment for the evening.

The Dripping Springs High School Interact Club has joined up with the Hays County Sheriff's Officers in Operation Brown Santa.  The student led organization is collecting new unwrapped toys so that local children can have a better Christmas.  Interact is a club for youth ages 12-18 who want to connect with others in their community or school. Interact club members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. Interact clubs organize at least two service projects a year: one that benefits their community and one that encourages international understanding. While Interact clubs receive guidance from individual Rotary clubs, they govern and support themselves.
